Incident Management to Provide Expanded Clery Reporting Capabilities

Lauren Innovations announces the upcoming launch of expanded Incident Management capabilities. The upgrades will provide users the ability to create, process, and print reports to meet the full scope of the Clery Act.

 New Philadelphia, OH — Lauren Innovations has announced the launch of an upgrade to its existing Incident Management module to include a full suite of reporting options to comply with Clery Act Reporting standards. Earlier this year, the U.S. Education Department ramped up its scrutiny of colleges’ compliance with federal laws on crime reporting. Failure to comply with standards could subject a college or university to fines or limits on federally granted financial aid at their institution. 

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires colleges and universities to track crime statistics and disclose the data and information about security procedures to prospective and current students and employees. Published documentation on crime statistics, safety and security measures, crime prevention programs and procedural lists to be followed in the investigation and prosecution of alleged sex offenses are among the items currently required by the Clery Act. 
In compliance with the Clery Act, NaviGate users will have the ability to tag each incident and report measurable statistics through the incident management system. Reports and crime logs can be easily created and stored within NaviGate for quick access anytime from anywhere. “NaviGate has always had a robust incident management module,” commented Technical Product Manager, Chris Porter. “The updates we have made to the incident management system have incorporated many of our customers’ suggestions and made our reporting much more robust.” 
The Notification System in NaviGate also provides further compliance capabilities. “Users will be able to set up automatic notifications based on criteria entered into the Incident Management module,” continued Porter. “Once the specific criteria is met, like a certain number of car break-in within a defined timeframes, the system will automatically trigger a notification email to interested parties.” 
The new Incident Management module will launch to existing NaviGate users in December. Additional improvements to the Learning Management, Document Management and Emergency Management modules will also launch with the Incident Management module. Because of NaviGate’s web-based capabilities, users will simply log in to access this updated technology.
