GM Bankruptcy Filing No Surprise for Lauren Companies
Progressive companies such as Lauren Manufacturing, flagship subsidiary of Lauren International, Inc., realized several years ago that automotive companies such as GM and Chrysler, were not only losing market share but would be adversely affected in time. In response, the company’s intentional efforts toward continued diversification of its markets, products and services backed by strong reinvestment from parent company Lauren International have positioned it for growth. As a result, the impact from GM’s filing has been minimal.

Lauren Manufacturing Introduces New Low Density EPDM Sponge for Continuous Extrusion Profiles
Lauren Manufacturing has developed a new low density closed-cell EPDM sponge product for continuously extruded profiles. The compound is capable of maintaining a 6-8 pound per cubic foot density. The material can be processed through both LCM salt bath and microwave/hot air extrusion lines.

Lauren Engineers Team Up With Indian Valley 8th Graders
In January three students from Indian Valley’s Project Lead the Way program, with the support of their teacher Mrs. MarilynKramer and Lauren engineers Aaron Kochman and Frankie Saho traveled to Columbus to participate in the Future City Competition. Eighth-graders Marissa Enos, Logan Ridgway and Courtney Leggett presented their project model through several rounds of judging in four phases: Design, Build, Write and Present.

Lauren Manufacturing’s iDea™ Seal recently passed AAMA 701/702-04 for Replaceable Fenestration Weatherseals and will be added to the American Architectural Manufacturers Association’s Verified Components List. The iDea™ Seal has a co-polymer design which benefits window and door manufacturers through reduced labor and manufacturing costs while providing a superior seal. These benefits are a result of the seal’s rigid base which allows for easy channel installation during assembly.
